All this jargon doesn’t grok. Gets me all woke.

Some words that enter and exit our vocabulary still make me cringe. Words such as ‘ grok’ come to mind. Or terms such as ‘organic search.’ The former arrived on the scene at the height of the social media frenzy — possibly around 2006. This was a time when we were drawn into the magnetic field of ‘web logs.’ About that time, too, digital marketers gushed about ‘organic search’ on conference calls. Of course there are others, more cringeworthy.
